You presume we have no Luthors? Our creed is (to speculate about the casting of) LUTHOR!

Some sources are reporting that Zach Snyder is considering Kevin Costner for a part in the upcoming Superman reboot. The part that seems most fitting for him is Jonathon Kent, Superman's adoptive father. However, Costner's hairline reminded us here at FIG that the new Super-movie has yet to cast its Lex Luthor. Much of the speculation points to the movie's villain being someone other than Superman's greatest foe, but we would still like to see the character make a cameo to lay the possible ground work for subsequent movies.

Without further ado, we present some of the actors we would be screen testing for the part if we were in charge. Disclaimer: We are well aware that most of these are unlikely and some of them are strange choices. We here at FIG prefer to think outside of the box. Uncle Lex would be proud of us.

Not my first choice, but McShane is a great actor and his voice would be chilling calling out Superman.
Another great actor, but he's very picky about his movies.
Perfect for old school fat Lex, but unlikely because fat Luthor is rarely used these days.
I know, I know...he's already Voldemort. I don't care.
M. Night Shyamalan says: The man who was rumored to play Superman recast as Superman's greatest nemesis! What a twist!
Has all the range to be psychotic, charming and brilliant at the same time. Could also serve as an "F you!" to Marvel for not including him in the Avengers movie. This is probably my favorite of our picks.
I have nothing to say, just seemed like a clever choice.
A choice for a younger Luthor.
I really, really like this pick. Foster has the capability to be pretty scary. Another choice for a younger Luthor.
