Snyder and Nolan choose their Superman

If acting was like horseshoes and hand grenades, Henry Cavill would be a Hollywood A-lister. Perhaps best known for his role in The Tudors, he has been in the running for just about all of Hollywood's major action franchises. Cavill was almost Superman in Superman Returns, he was almost James Bond, he was almost Superman again in the failed Justice League movie, and he was almost Batman in Batman Begins. It looks like his patience has finally paid off. Several sources are reporting that director Zack Snyder and producer Christopher Nolan have chosen Cavill as their Superman. He certainly has the look. Filming will begin in mid-2011.

New BSG prequel Blood And Chrome has its leading man

Entertainment Weekly broke the story that the young version of William Adama, the Admiral in Battlestar Galactica, will be played by Luke Pasqualino in the upcoming prequel miniseries Blood and Chrome. As with the recent remake of BSG, if B&C proves to be popular it will be rolled into a recurring series.

Great suggestions for the Wonder Woman TV series

I mentioned this briefly on Episode 2, but I couldn't remember where I had read it. It's from WIRED's blog "Underwire", and the story is titled "10 Mandates for a Kick-@ss Wonder Woman TV Show".

Here's a sample:

7. Don’t pick a short, scrawny actress. Whoever plays Wonder Woman must be built like a warrior, but still hot enough to ensnare drooling fanboys, who can’t abide a female superhero who isn’t a sex object. Think Xena plus Alias, and you’re partly there. As Gina Torres, who starred in Firefly and Alias, infamously explained, “There are no skinny b*tches in superhero land.” (Torres would be great for the role, by the way.)

FIGcast - Episode 2

Episode 2 is now live, we're still trying to figure out why we're not on iTunes, but we'll get there eventually.

FIGcast - Episode 2

Shownotes:

This episode is pretty lengthy, but don't let that scare you off. We just bit off more than we could chew with these first two shows, and we're learning every week. We really want to aim for about an hour per episode.

If you're reading this, you've found the blog. You can email us at FullyIntegratedGeeks@gmail.com and we're now on Facebook, just search for our name. We hope to be up on iTunes by the time we record next week, look for Episode 3 to go up sometime on February 3rd.

New pilot from Battlestar Galactica showrunner Ron Moore

Ron Moore submitted a proposal to NBC for a new show called 17th Precinct. It's a police drama set in the fictional town of Excelsior. But there's MAGIC. Moore has described it to reporters as "Harry Potter for grown-ups". Here's the story about NBC green-lighting a pilot for the project.
